Second Annual Green Coconut Open House

John Midlen (Member) hosted the Second Annual Green Coconut Open House at his villa, 1C, Monday night. Most everyone inhouse attended. The food was delicious, the drinks were strong, and the reggae band set the mood nicely. Member parties such as these really bring out the community feel at Sueno.

Sueno Teams up with Bacalar Chico Reserve Rangers

Sueno has been working closely with the new management team of the Bacalar Chico Reserve. The reserve constitutes a vital part of the Sueno experience and we want to do our part to conserve it.

Using a GPS we pinpointed the exact boundaries of the reserve and placed buoys and signs to mark it's entrance.

As the rangers spend several days a week just north of us, we have granted them use of our dock for their boat and we purchased them a bicycle to travel back and forth.

Reserve manager Roberto Carballo put on an informative presentation to Sueno members and guests last week about the history of the reserve and the do's and don't's as well. We plan to make it a monthly or bi-monthly event.

Farewell Mini Mangrove

Remember the sorry excuse of a mangrove that used to sit right on the waterline in front of building 1? Well it's gone. Many Building-1ers have been begging us to get rid of the monstrosity for quite some time. Now that we are sure that it is dead and won't be making any kind of a come back we decided it was time to say goodbye. Personally I'll miss it.
